- Year 9 girls women in science workshop in Taunton organised by Skirting Science. I ran a workshop with the help of two PhD students about macrophages and eye disease, focusing on non-infectious posterior uveitis. We also talked about the routes we took to become scientists.
- I was shadowed by two lower Sixth form students at work. I showed them around the labs. We also covered tissue culture technique and how the widefield microscope works.
- Joined the Bristol Pint of Science team to help organise the Life Science part of the event.
- I ran two sessions during a playscheme for 4-11 year olds. We covered mammalian cells and the structure of the eye as well as what scientists do on a day-to-day basis. I practiced making cells and eyes using paper plates and various other bits and pieces first.
